Perenso has joined forces with Data Connect Corporation (DCC), a Colorado software company that specialises in managing data for the trade show industry. The deal means Perenso’s sales force automation (SFA) tool will gain a wide distribution in the US market via DCC’s trade show connections in the food and distribution industries.
The deal has been in the works since June 2013, when Perenso’s management met with DCC in Colorado to discuss details of their international agreement, after DDC International Sales Manager Jacques Van der Merwe discovered Perenso’s iPad application some months earlier. He said he thought the app would be a valuable addition to DCC’s software offering in the US market, allowing them to expand their operations.
At present, the bulk of DCC’s business is developing and managing software for trade show organisers. Perenso will allow them to expand their offering to the food and distribution markets. The deal will see DCC become a key reseller of Perenso across North America, where SFA app will fulfil a need for automation for DCC’s trade show market as well as for broader field sales customers.
Perenso may well be set to make a big splash in the large US market when DCC introduces the software to over a half-million food service representatives in the U.S. The Australian app could soon be on the iPads of more than half a million reps from Seattle to New York. DCC will make the app available via online registration, as well as offering a customised set up and training service available for interested clients.
DCC is based in Centennial, Colorado and manages data such as registration documents for trade show organisers. The company was founded in 1988 and now has contacts in the top 1000 food service distributors in the US, including giants such as Sysco Foods, through their trade show management software, making Perenso an ideal fit for expanding their offering.
Perenso, headed by CEO Darren Chamberlin, is a Sydney-based software development company founded in 1994. Since then their field sales automation system has steadily grown to become a key player in the local market, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry, where more than 50 percent of orders are filled using Perenso’s software. The software keeps important ordering and stock information, as well as sales presentations, in the cloud, from where sales reps can access it from anywhere using an iPad app.
